If you’re looking for the fastest ways to level your Crafting Professions from 0-200 on launch, using the lowest level resources possible, the below information should provide a good reference point. All the resources are easily collected from the starting zones.
Arcana
The fastest way to level Arcana is going to be by crafting Weak Health Potions or Weak Mana Potions. Find a good source of Briar Buds or Hyssop near a fresh water source (river or lake). You can then set up a camp to craft as you gather. No need to travel back and forth to town.
Craft | 1st Resource | 2nd Resource |
---|---|---|
313,571x Weak Health Potion/Weak Mana Potion | 313,571x Hyssop/Briar Buds | 313,571x Water |
Engineering
Feathers may be the hardest to come by for this however if they’re cheap on the Trading Post, then just crafting Iron Arrows will be the best way to level Engineering.
Craft | 1st Resource | 2nd Resource | 3rd Resource |
---|---|---|---|
17,421x Iron Arrow (x50) | 69,684x Iron Ingot
(278,736x Iron Ore) | 34,842x Timber
(139,368x Green Wood) | 52,263x Feathers |
If Feathers are too hard to come by on your server, you can craft spears or fishing poles/bows.
Assumed Salvaging:
- Spear = 1-3 Timber
Craft | 1st Resource | After Salvaging | 2nd Resource | 3rd Resource |
---|---|---|---|---|
9,223x Treated Wood Spear | 92,230x Timber

(184,460x Iron Ore) | 18,446x Coarse Leather (73,784x Raw Hide) |
Assumed Salvaging:
- Fishing Pole/Bow = 1-3 Timber

---|---|---|---|---|
9,223x Treated Wood Fishing Pole/Treated Wood Bow | 110,676x Timber (442,704x Green Wood) | 83,010 to 101,454 Timber Required | 18,446 Linen (73,784x Fibers | 27,669x Coarse Leather (110,676x Raw Hide) |
Weaponsmithing
Crafting Tier 2 weapons will be the fastest way to grind that 0-200 level in weaponsmithing. Gathering solvents/sandpaper/weave makes crafting anything above Tier 2 much more time-consuming.
Salvaging proc rates are unknown but I’ll update the table if/when the information becomes available. For the moment Shield/ Longsword/ Rapier is the most consistent for salvaging.
Assumed Salvaging:
- Shield/Longsword/Rapier = 1-2 Iron Ingot
- Great Axe/War Hammer = 1-4 Iron Ingot
Craft | 1st Resource | After Salvaging | 2nd Resource | 3rd Resource |
---|---|---|---|---|
15,679x Iron Round Shield/Iron Longsword/Iron Rapier | 109,753x Iron Ingot
(439,012x Iron Ore) | 78,397 to 94,075 Iron Ingot Required | 31,358x Timber (125,432x Green Wood) | 15,679x Coarse Leather (62,716x Raw Hide) |
9,223x Iron Great Axe/Iron War Hammer | 110,676x Iron Ingot
(442,704x Iron Ore) | 73,788 to 101,454 Iron Ingot Required | 27,669x Timber
(110,676x Green Wood) | 18,446x Coarse Leather (73,784x Raw Hide) |
Jewelcrafting
Power leveling Jewelcrafting is best done by crafting a Tier II Amulet. Salvaging a Tier II amulet has a small chance to return an uncut version of the flawed gem used to craft it. This means after salvaging all the amulets you craft, you will still need a full quota of motes to convert the recovered flawed gems back into cut flawed gems. It may be practical to use different flawed gem types so that you can gather or buy all mote types (Air, Death, Earth, Fire, Life, Soul & Water).
Assumed Salvaging:
- Flawed Gem Amulet = 10% chance of Flawed Gem (more data required to confirm)
Craft | 1st Resource | After Salvaging | 2nd Resource | 3rd Resource | 4th Resource |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
9,799x Flawed Gem Amulet | 9,799x Cut Flawed Gem (9,799x Flawed Gem + 19,598 Motes) | 9,799x Cut Flawed Gem (8,820x Flawed Gem + 19,598 Motes) | 9,799x Silver Chain (195,980x Silver Ore) | 9,799x Silver Setting (156,784x Silver Ore) | 9,799x Silver Ingot (39,196x Silver Ore) |
Armoring
Crafting Tier 2 armor will be the fastest way to grind that 0-200 level in weaponsmithing. Salvaging proc rates are unknown but I’ll update the table if/when the information becomes available. For the moment Gloves are the most consistent for salvaging.
Light and Medium Armor look like the most effective way to level up Armoring but it will likely depend on node/mob respawn rates on launch.
Assumed Salvaging:
- Gloves = 1-2 Primary Resource
Light Armor
When salvaging crafted Linen Gloves, you’ll actually get so much Linen back that leveling with Light Armor requires more Skinning resources, rather than Gathering resources.
Craft | 1st Resource | After Salvaging | 2nd Resource | 3rd Resource |
---|---|---|---|---|
17,421x Linen Gloves | 69,684x Linen (278,736x Fibers) | 34,844 to 52,264 Linen Required | 69,684x Coarse Leather (278,736x Raw Hide) | 17,421x Iron Ingot
(69,684x Iron Ore) |
Medium Armor
When salvaging crafted Coarse Leather Gloves, you’ll actually get so much Coarse Leather back that leveling with Medium Armor requires more Gathering resources, rather than Skinning resources.
Craft | 1st Resource | After Salvaging | 2nd Resource | 3rd Resource |
---|---|---|---|---|
17,421x Rough Leather Gloves | 69,684x Coarse Leather (278,736x Raw Hide) | 34,844 to 52,264 Coarse Leather Required | 69,684x Linen
(278,736x Fibers) | 17,421x Iron Ingot
(69,684x Iron Ore) |
Heavy Armor
When salvaging crafted Iron Plate Gloves, you’ll actually get so much Iron Ingot back that leveling with Heavy Armor will require more Skinning and Gathering resources, rather than Mining resources.
Craft | 1st Resource | After Salvaging | 2nd Resource | 3rd Resource |
---|---|---|---|---|
17,421x Iron Plate Gauntlets | 69,684x Iron Ingot (278,736x Iron Ore) | 34,844 to 52,264 Iron Ingot Required | 69,684x Coarse Leather (278,736x Raw Hide) | 69,684 x Linen (278,736x Fibers) |
Cooking
This simple approach to cooking means you can just stand in one spot and fish. There’s no need to go chasing fishing spots as only Tier III and Tier II filets are required. Alternatively, you can just go hunting Wolves, Bears, Cows, Sheep, Goats, Cats, Alligators, Bison. Put up a camp near where you’re grinding and you can cook the Travel Rations as you go.
Craft | 1st Resource | 2nd Resource |
---|---|---|
22,522x Travel Ration | 22,522x Firm Fish Filet | 22,522x Fish Filet |
22,522x Travel Ration | 22,522x Red Meat | 22,522x Game Meat/Poultry/Pork |
